Radiant Heating Tubing

Radiant heating tubing is an important component of mechanical systems for heating residential and commercial buildings. This tubing is typically made of crosslinked polyethylene (commonly called PEX) and is used to circulate hot water through floors, walls, or ceilings, providing efficient and comfortable warmth to the space. Radiant heating tubing is flexible and easy to install, making it a popular choice for new construction and renovation projects. Additionally, its longevity and durability make it a cost-effective solution for heating systems. With proper installation and maintenance, radiant heating tubing can provide reliable and energy-efficient heating for years to come, making it a valuable investment for any mechanical systems project.

M Pumps

High Efficiciency Boilers

and ECM Pumps

High efficiency condensing boilers and ECM (electronically commutated motor) pumps are two critical components of mechanical systems for high efficiency buildings. Condensing boilers use advanced technology to extract more heat from fuel, resulting in greater energy efficiency and lower operating costs. Meanwhile, ECM pumps use advanced motor technology to deliver precise amounts of water, minimizing energy waste and improving system performance.

Together, these components can significantly reduce energy consumption and costs, making them an attractive investment for mechanical systems projects. Additionally, high efficiency condensing boilers and ECM pumps can contribute to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Overall, the use of high efficiency condensing boilers and ECM pumps in mechanical systems can help to reduce energy consumption and costs, while also improving system performance and contributing to a more sustainable future.

No matter the snow melt systems you have, we have the expertise to help. Whether you have Roof snow melt systems, snow melt systems for driveways, electric snow melt systems, hydronic snow melt systems or commercial snow melt systems we can inspect them and make specific recommendations.

Engineering Services

As the owner of Efficient Mechanical Systems Engineering, I have over 21 years of experience in Engineering Services including; designing and evaluating radiant heating, snow melt, and boiler systems.  These systems can often be quite daunting. The installations often look like something that should be in a submarine.

Give your customer peace of mind by having the system evaluated by a licensed Professional Engineer rather than a standard home inspector.

Do you have a Boiler Control Problem that cannot be fixed?

Our Engineering Services thoroughly evaluate the boilers (electric boilers, gas boilers, navien boilers, etc.), pumps, controls, and heating devices to determine any issues.  Then we evaluate the system and provide an estimate of the longevity of the system.

We will also provide cost estimates for items that may need to be replaced.  When utilizing Efficient Mechanical Systems Engineering and using a licensed Professional Engineer to perform the radiant heating inspection, you can have confidence that the heating system has been thoroughly examined by an unbiased expert.

Engineering Services

Boiler inspections are critical to ensure the safe and efficient operation of heating systems, and our team has the expertise and experience to perform comprehensive inspections that meet all applicable codes and regulations. We begin by assessing the overall condition of the boiler, including its age, efficiency, and overall functionality. We then inspect all components of the system, including the pumps, expansion tank, controls, and safety devices, to ensure that they are working properly and efficiently. For additional fees, we can check the combustion efficiency of the boiler using a combustion analyzer; and we can even check the radiant tube spacing and performance using our thermal imaging gun.
